I cannot get web pages to display on my active desktop! It is turned on and i have a few in web tab but they do not display on my desktop. I am wondering if some anti-virus programs have disabled this. I insatlled Ewido, Spybot, and CCLeaner.

alan93, Go to the link below and scroll down to line 16 (left column) and download the "Active Desktop - Enable or Disable" vbs file.
To use the VBS Files: Download .vbs file and save it to your hard drive (you may want to right click and use Save Target As). Double
click the vbs file. You will be prompted when the script is done.

NOTE: If your anti-virus software warns you of a "malicious" script, this is normal if you have "Script Safe" or similar technology enabled. These scripts are not malicious, but they do make changes to the System Registry.

Thanks, I already tried that didn't work.
I also have PCAnywhere and made sure host setting does not disable it.
This is frustrating because I had this same problem before and cannot remember how i fixed it!

That one did not work. But I did find something that did.
I went to another computer that had active desktop working and showing web pages.
I exported the entire registry path from here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop

And imported it into current computer with it not working.
That put all web pages from second computer on first and I changed it from there.

It is something in registry but not the one you inidcated above.

Thanks.
