I'm getting this odd thing in windows xp Everytime I scroll over a video or a player it it highlights it and ask me to activate this window. i click on it and the highlight goes away but i have to click on it again to start it. This neverh appened until my windows updated itself with one of windows update patches a week or so ago.

Has anyone ran into this issue?

The reason you have this issue is because the latest Windows Genuine Advantage validation check has detected your Windows to be counterfeit or pirated.

You will forever be nagged until you buy your own copy. There is no way to turn ot off once for all.

What? you must be getting confused with what i'm saying it's not an activation window it'a an activate audio and video player window on IE. it highlights it and if i leave my mouse over it it says activate this window i have to click the highlighted part it makes around an audio or video player in IE to make the highlight window go away and then i can press play.

Cobra_R,

This is caused by an optional Windows Update. It draws a box around the Flash content (or Active X, etc.) on a website in IE and makes you click/"activate" it before it works. If you unistall the particular update this will go away. I believe the update number is 912945.
