A fix for those that receive the following error when closing Internet Explorer:
"Acrobat IEhelper: iexplore.exe Application Error"
Try the following if this just started appearing since installing SP2, installed MS patches or changed to a different version of Adobe Acrobat:
Go to Intenet Explorer>Tools>Internet Options>Programs>Manage add-ons.Disable all plugins/add-ons. Close/Open Internet Explorer(IE)
Reenable a few plugins. Close/open IE
repeat till all the plugins you want to use are enabled.
No errors ....No conflicts

Nice post. Curious - are you the same author who posted the above at Ask Leo's site yesterday.? Yours and the jake of Ask Leo uses different email addy.

Same person. In a hurry Did't mean to post email at all.
Spent hours looking for a fix. Hopefully this works for others

Alriught. If I had this application error, I would go along with the opinion (fix) of Windows Support Center (Aumha). Do you diagreee?
i_XpUser

Tried that and about every other recommendation(spyware removal, reinstalls, etc...) until i figured it out based on a post about just disabling the activex object.
This error was gone and was replaced by an error about iexplorer.exe specifically.
Just tried my method because I was out of options.
It worked for me...

Thanks jake for that. I hope how you came about finding the "perfect" solution to the Acrobat IEhelper error will benefit others.
Thanks for posting this thread here.
Good day :-)i_XpUser

Hello Jake again,
I'm just wondering why don't you respond to the Windows Support Center thread too?
i_XpUser

1. I did't say it was a perfect solution. I said it worked for me.2. I didn't know it was my job to post at sites monitored or desigated by you
3. This was my first post on this forum and will be my last. XPUser has more questions than answers, and they are all about process, procedures and motive....not about technical issues. I ahve already spent too much time responding.
I hope the information helps someone out there that had similar problems.
jake_jake_jake.......out

Try Tools --> Manage Add-ons in IE and disable SolidConverter. That fixed the problem for me.

I dont have SP2 and i dont want it :S How can i fix the bug without? Someone PLEASE help me :S I have only SP1. I dont want that SP2 Security and s--- :p

Had this error for a while, more aas a annoyance than anything. Found time to search for an answer and came across this thread. Disabled solidconverter and bingo. No more errors.
Thanks guys (Jake and Ted)
sp..sp..spud..out ;)
