I recently installed a new motherbaord, CPU, RAM and graphics card. Now when I boot up the BIOS starts, detects the drives etc then goes to a 'Detecting' message. This then tells me 'BIOS not installed because there are drives attached', then carries on to the point of where is should start Windows but simply restarts the process all over again. When I try to boot from the XP CD it starts up and then comes up with a blue screen telling me there is something wrong with the acpi.sys file. Hope someone can help.
Can you tell me all your pieces you have in your pc so that i can see if there compatible with each other. To me this looks like you processor is not compatible with the motherboard.

Have you checked your BIOS?
Have you upgraded your BIOS?
You may need to do this and configuring before the PC will boot the hardware.
Of course we have no clue, since we don't know what hardware you are trying to put together.
