ACPI or Standard PC install?

Dell Dimension 4500

Specs: Windows XP-SP2, P4 1GB

How do I determine if my OS was installed as a Standard PC or an ACPI PC? The only install CD I have is the recovery CD that came with the PC. Can this option be enabled/disabled from within Windows? I would like to change it to "Standard" in order to reassign IRQs.

ACPI

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true

Windows XP will make it very difficult for you to reassign IRQs. It's best to let Windows handle it on its own.
