I liked the acer a lot because of its simplicity and power. Do you think you could help me out to buy the most adequate for me around those prices. I'm gonna study engineering so I will be working with programs such as SolidWorks and others that require a good graphics card, and I might consider the computer science field, so I want to get a powerful computer in order to be able to perform different tasks. Also I think that you are getting a great deal. Also Get the 7200 100 GB harddrive because it is alot better at multitasking. I know it is a little bit more but you will be able to get to things faster. Jim R

For what its worth, I have had nothing but HP laptops, PCs, Printers, and scanners, and have always had great performance. Their tech support is a 10 in my book, and that is what really counts in the end.
