Acer TravelMate 8200 Help

Specs: Windows XP, Intel T2500 2.00GHz/ 2GB
Hello!! I am lost!!

I was having real problems with my Acer TravelMate 8200! So I reinstalled using my Recovery Disc. My system then showed an "NTLDR" and "No Operating System" error. I checked online and as per instructions using the Recovery console copied the "ntldr" and "ntdetect.com" files. The problem was solved and the computer is back to factory settings. But, I found out that the PQ Service Partition is "Drive C" and the OS has been installed on it and the eRecovery no longer works.

What do I do? How do I save the partition? Which files are my Acer eRecovery ESIA configuration files? My hard drive is 120 GB but now my main Drive C which was the PQService partition is 3.89GB which is creating problems for me as I am running out of space while installing new programs.

Or is it (remotely) possible to create a FAT32 partition and copy the eRecovery CD image and then configure it as a factory setting PQService Partition so that it works as a D2D Recovery?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

... is there an option in the programs list something like "system recovery" ... "recovery media creator" ?

... if there is create a recovery dvd/cd with it... a lot of this software only allows you to create it "once" ... untill you use it and do a restore with it....

.... depending on how it is configured... it may also "once used" also create the recovery partiton aswell and install the o/s from that partiton .... have a look... and its options!

I searched but there is no system recovery files in the drive. I did however find a copy of the eRecovery dvd which I had burned as per instructions after purchase. Will the dvd be usable because I tried installing the Norton Antivirus package which came bundled with the TravelMate but it shows an error saying "This software can only be installed on an Acer machine". Will I have the same problem if I re-install using the eRecovery dvd?

Thanks a lot for your help.

... looks like you have to interact with the recovery dvd and press some keys etc to tell it which partition to install to?

... depending on the options when it was created a "full" recovery should also make the recovery partition(?)

... waiting till you run outa space prompted you to action!

... the recovery dvd may work(?)
