peterx, tried another KB? They're pretty cheaply made and failure's pretty common. Once you've ruled that in/out, my thoughts go to drivers and other things, but I'd start there.

Laptop or desktop?

Have you tried using another (External) keyboard - regardless of whether or not laptop/desktop system?

If persists then re-install drivers?.

Also has it had a bath... as in has "anything" been spilt on the keyboard...?

sounds like a driver issue try going to
and reinstalling the drivers for your system

peterx, something you might try. Kinda a 'Hail Mary', but... Put your KB in the dishwasher and run thru a cycle.
Sounds silly I know, but it sometimes works.

- As long as it's not attached to, or part of, a laptop...

It's a good point though... One can "with care and patience) take a keyboard apart and clean both the actual keyboard mechanisms; and also ensure that is nothing on any of the assorted track (thread-like at times) on the cct. membrane within... Even a slight trace of muck etc... crossing/linking track can produce all manner of errors...

Usually a brush and blow out is adequate; but if there is stuff on the tracks/membrane that is "stuck" there.... then a cue tip or a small paint brush (artists?) and a little isopropyl alchohol may be useful? One just goes about it all very carefully...
