xp home don't see acer 20x10x40 cd rw , veritas / prassi software that came with it can't see it when it starts. If i install via bus master then xp & prassi find it but it will not burn without errors even xp won't burn without errors ! TY in Advance

try just installing the drive with NO Burning SW, XP is funny with burning SW, all check MS KB# 314060 it will show how to delete filter(s) in the registry that are caused by CDRW SW. Once you reboot it should reinstall the drive.

ty for your help, but it still don't work even without sw, tried the registry thing with deleting filters but still no luck
