Hello Everybodyyyyyyyyy!! (a la Grover)

I am running Windows XP and WIn98SE on a network DOMAIN. I have shared a folder on the Win98 machine and set it to READ-ONLY and applied a password.

The XP machine sees the Win98 machine on the network and when I try to access it, I am prompted for the password. Problem is my password is not accepted and the Prompt reappears instantly. Even if I type the wrong password, the prompt keeps cycling back, asking me for the password.

Does anyone know how tpo solve this pickle?

Someone gave me the solution.

1.Open Network Settings on the 98 Machine.
2. The tab on the far right lets you choose how to share, by setting passwords or by sharing with users on a DOMAIN.
3. Select domain and enter the domain name
4. System reconfigures itself, reboots and all is perfect.
