accessing registry on backup drive

I'm trying to import account settings and mail rules into outlook express 6. I am running a freshly installed copy of xp home on a new disk and I can't boot to the old disk with 2000 pro any longer however I do have an image copy of the old disk.
I've found directions for importing account settings and mail filters but they include having backup copies of specific registry entries that I have no idea how to get to.
