How do I access MSDOS before i make it to the Windows XP login stage
There is no dos in xp. You can boot from an win 98 boot disk.

There is no DOS in XP. However, if all you need is a DOS-style command prompt, all you have to do is go to Start->Run and type "cmd" without the quotes.
