Comment:

I have a laptop that died but the HDD w/ Windows XP is good. There are files on this drive that I would like to get (yes I know I should have backed up). I removed the HDD and installed in a desktop computer as E: drive. The desktop is running windows XP as well.

I can see and navigate to the E drive but can not access files that I need. Is there a way knowing the password to get to user data files (my documents, desktop files etc.).

Thanks
