Hello my hard drive is NTFS and I wan't to access my CD-ROM from dos but I can't. I tried a Win 98 and XP start-up disk but they don't work. Is it possible?

Boot your PC while holding down F8. Select the Safe Mode with Command Prompt option and press Enter. You can access the cd-rom drive at the command prompt.
Hope this helps. Bye

No I can't do that, that option does not exist with NTFS.

Are you using Windows XP PRO with the NTFS file system? If so, what did you get when you pressed F8 while starting your PC?

Yes I'm sure, it used to be there when it was FAT32 but then I converted to NTFS.

Nevermind, this isn't as easy as I thought. If anyone is interested in doing this, look into a program called NTFSDOS.
