Is there any way to access the registry from an image backup on another disk. Windows Explorer will access the file tree on C: of the image and I can "cut and Paste' from the other disk back to my system disk.

I'm sure there is a way, but are you aware of the many Pitfalls? If the image is NOT from the EXACT Computer you're working on, there's a slim-to-no chance that it will work.
Does not sound like a reasonable way to repair the Windows Registry.
What is it you're trying to do?
There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

Had a CC yesterday. Reinstall WXP and Word perfect 8. Cut and pasted the necessary files from the backup to WP so that some of my settings were restored. However, I found that all page definitions, including a bunch that I had customize, are in the registry. I want to copy only those registry entries to a txt file , print them and use reedit to place them in the correct location in the current registry. Ergo! If I can do this, all of the page definitions will again be available.

Anybody have an idea how I can access the registry on my backup so I can find the page definitions? I will then "cut and paste" them into my current registry.

I don't believe you will be able to copy & paste from or to the registry. You will need to manually change the values. Probably just as easy to do it like you did last time.
