Access Denied

This is unrelated to my other post (this is a completely different network). I have a computer set up with all my mp3 files and the directory is shared. When I try to access it over my network I get an Access denied error message, this also happent to any other shared director when accessing a XP computer from XP, but I can access them perfectly fine from computers running 98SE and 98SE from XP. Could someone tell me what is going on, thanks.

I believe you have to set up an account on the local machine that is equal to whatever account you are logging into on the remote machine. The same user and password.
