Comment:
Access Denied when double click c d and e drives
Permission and security tabs have added everyone, administrator and administrators have been given full control
Directly typing C:\ or D:\ in address path seems ok. and able to enter
See if this works. Right click C:\ and open the Properties box Open the Security tab Click "Add" and input your user name.

JohnW local file access has nothing to do with sharing.
hydrodog the question is how did you get to where you can't access these? What changes did you make to the security that resulted in this happening?
Or is there something else going on like a virus or spyware infection? Did you check to make sure you are clean?

I suppose is a virus infection. Problem is it's not me that is using that computer. It's one of the user. I suspect it's due to infected thumbdrive.
Security settings should be fine as i've added everyone and everything and set to full control
Anyway a reformat is the solution la cause i do not have time to investigate on this issue.
