Hi,
I have 2 computers running XP Pro SP2 and they are both connected to a hub. Both the computers can see each other on the network and can access the Internet. They both have the same Workgroup name and both the computers have the C drive shared as C not C$. I have mapped the drive on the first computer as N: and that works fine. The problem is when I try and access the "Program Files" folder on the main computer it says Access is Denied. Other folders I can access without a problem. Neither computer has a password set and I have disabled Simple File sharing as I was told this could cause a problem. Both the User Profiles have Adminstrator Rights and I have gone into Sharing and Security on the main computer under C: and C:\Program Files and changed they are set to Everyone and I have changed the setting to Full Control. One computer has Zone Alarm and the other computer has Norton but I don't think these would cause the problem as I can access other folders without a problem. Any ideas.???????

Try this.

Well, you shouldn't allow access to the programs folder as a normal thing.
Disable simple file sharing.
What you would want is to allow share permissions and restrict access with ntfs permissions. The way to do that is from the security settings that show up when you disable simple file shareing checkbox.
