Access denied on network share

I have two XP pro machines running in a peer network. Both see each other in network places, and are able to ping. I'm sharing a folder on one machine, but I cant access it from the other. It says access denied. It seems like a permissions problem, but I've set it to allow for ALL read/modify. The strange thing is that I could access the default share "Shared Documents", and I'm also able to see the printers.
Seems to be a permissions issue, but i've already set it to allow all. Any ideas on what I should try?
