Hi
I am running a pc with windows xp and office xp sbe. I need to do some work with databases for my IT GNVQ, so I found my office 97 pro cd, and setup only access using custom setup. When I try to run access i get this error
can't find dynamic-link library(DLL) Mso97rt.

You can't use the /runtime command-line switch unless you have installed Microsoft Office 97 Developer Editon Tools.

I cant understand why it says this, because I'm not using any command-line switchs, just clicking on the icon.

any help could save my gnvq!

Sam

Easiest solution- uninstall office xp. (full)Install office 97. Install office xp. Worked for me with 95/97 and 97/2000

Have you tried browsing to the msaccess.exe executable and running it from it's actual location. I have seen shortcuts that can cause problems.
