Hey I have on board sound (AC97) but in some games the player voices sound like Chip Munks. I tried looking for some drivers with no luck. in my Device Manager under Sound it says "Intel(r) 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller"...Can someone please HELP!!!!

Had same problem on my compaq deskpro. All sound played double speed! Turned out to be wrong driver. Mine was recognized as AC97 and played too fast, installed compaq's deskpro-driver for ADI Soundmax Integrated sound and no probs anymore.
not sure, but I think its this link: http://www.compaq.com/support/files/deskpro/us/download/15236.html

I downloaded them drivers from the link you supplied but when i was installing it, it would get to 100% and give me this error 'Driver not found! Reboot your system, and run this setup again.' I did that but still get the same error :(

This problem occurs under win2k and winxp with the AC97 audio. The native drivers cause this issue. If you have an OEM system, go to the website and get the corerct soundmax driver. I know Dell has the file for win2k and WinXP. You can try their support site. Support.dell.com

Try Intel's site instead - just pick a board with the same chipset (815, 850, etc.) and download the SoundMax drivers.
