Hi...Just purchased a HP ZD 8203 Laptop...It has AC-97 audio as the soundcard.

I have a 4 speaker sound system which has two output jacks...(Front & Rear)

The laptop only has one headphone socket to which I have plugged in the fronty speaker jacks.

With my desktop computer, I was able to configure the AC-97 audio jack so that the microphone socket became the rear speaker output jack vis the software.

Nothing on the HP site re this for the laptop.

I want to contimue using the 4 speaker system.....Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance to those who are kind enough to reply
