about smartdrv

i know that smartdrv is for speeding up installation but what actually happens after running smartdrv and why installation becomes so fast. thanx

Look here http://64.70.220.78/vfrazee/ms-dos/6.22/help/smartdrv.exe.htm for info on smartdrv.exe I tried to install Win2k one time without it. (Xp is the second version of Win2k)After 2 hours of copy files I stopped the setup and installed Win98 (took 20 minutes) just to get the file. After I got it the whole Xp setup only took an hour. Hope this Helps
