is there a way to snrink a film so that it will fit a cd, the film is 799 meg and the cd is 700meg, I know I can get 800meg cds, its easier tho and cheaper if I can shrink them at source. thanks for any and all help given
A VCD is a standard format for video files (MPEG-1, 352 X 240 image size, audio track 44100 Hz - 224 kbps and 29,97 frames per second if NTSC). If you want to be able of watching your video in your TV set using your DVD player, you must leave it like that. The only way you can fit a VCD movie in one CD is to cut it to a maximum length of 80 minutes (same maximum playing time as a regular audio CD). You can re-encode the movie using different programs (VirtualDub is an excellent one - freeware) for getting the highest compression, but you won't be able to watch it using your DVD player.
