Ahem, Using all the responses, I was succesful with changing the BOOT.INI File by editing with notepad(saving an original copy first)! You Folks Rock, IT'S AS SIMPLE AS THAT!! Approximately 1 year ago, I was at my newbie(still am) wit's end. I was trying to fix a friends Gateway pc that had viruses galore! Back then, I was introduced (By Folks at Computing.net)to the FDISK, etc. Wow1 At this moment, I'm sitting in front of 4 of my own pc's, all of which run superbly, compliments of Computing.net folks that care and respond. If I may list each: #1 An old NEC Powermate Enterprise 400 mhz/94 Ram Windows Xp Pro. #2 An old NEC Powermate 8100 400 mhz/ 194 Ram/ Windows Xp Pro. #3 Emachine T-4150/512 1.5Ghz/512 Ram/XP Home/ Pro and Windows Media. #4 Dell 3000 3.0Ghz/512 Ram/ Xp Home/Xp Media and Longhorn(Vista) 5048.The EMachine utilizes a 60 GB HD., while the Dell shows off with a Primary 160 GB and a secondary 60 gb hd. Anyway, Thank You all for the responses in the past. I do not drink, but here is a toast to all...-EZ
