2 comp. on a router. Both works fine on internet, can ping from B to A, but not from A to B. Firewall is off. Have tried several times to install a network. adr. should be ok.
main 192.168.1.1 A=192.168.1.100 B=192.168.1.101

recheck the firewall on B. Router and address are fine. Internet is fine. Has to be a firewall on b.

Make sure you have some folders marked for sharing otherwise there will be nothing to ping on.

Enable DHCP on the router and allow an automatic IP assignment on both machines to start with. This can be changed later when the problems are all ironed out.

If you have Notron IS installed then you must "tell" it that the IP for "A" is authorized.
I had this bug at a customer.

thanks to all.

it was in zonealarm, the adr. was set in the
thrusted zone, but this setting is ignored wenn the security for that zone is set to "high". After setting this to "mid" all
connections are ok.
