using IE 6.0.2800 on both platforms (two computers). we use directx and java enabled applets in certain applications for work when working from remote. strangely, recently my computer has been blocking certain aspects akin to pop-up windows in these applications, and displaying "a pop-up window was blocked" in the lower left hand corner of the screen near the IE icon. I don't know what it is - might be the directx "bugfix" in SP2 (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=819696) but I'm not sure. I do know that I NEED to disable this, correct this problem or spend a lot more time in the office (grrrr....). Please help!

You could try going to internet options>security>intranet and make sure it's set to default level.

Thanks, but I already did that - it is set to the default level. Further, I checked all the internet options settings and they appear appropriate (e.g., java and activex are enabled).
