3rd Party Scandisk Software?

Anyone know of any software that will scandisk without rebooting the system? With the scan disk built into windows xp, when you tell it to scan disk, it says it can only do it when you reboot next, then it scans disk, then loads windows.. Thanks in advance.

that's the way it HAS to be! windows does NOT allow access to certain files when running, so the disc has to be checked at the next reboot. Today's subliminal thought is: 'Calm down ... it's only ones and zeros.'
