Comment:
I have a 3gb .avi file that I recorded with "FRAPS"
Now I goto delete it and it says it is being used by another program or person... which it is not..
I'm the only one on the PC, I closed all processes except for system and it still said it.
It happens quite often but only for really large files (in excess of 2gb's ect.)
Is there a program that will delete the file without any bulls---? I click delete, I want it deleted... simple as that. Can anyone help?

Occasionally you won't be able to delete or even move an AVI file, because as soon as you click on the file, Explorer hangs while trying to offer a preview of it. A quick Registry fix will unlock your AVIs so you can move or delete them.
Click on Start | Run; now type Regedit and click on OK. Browse to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\System FileAssociations\.avi\shellex\PropertyHandler and delete the Default key contained in this folder.
Hope this helps.
