3ds max 4 on XP

I am trying to install 3ds max 4 on a new comp which has XP OS. I installed it but when I try to initialize a pop up comes up and CD Secure is incompatable with windows. I tried to change the compatability of 3ds but XP is not an option. Anyone got any suggestions on how to change my CD Secure or bypass this step?

Is Max coming for another computer? If yes, try installation guide about tranferring security rights. You can install MAX on multiple computers, but security rights only allow one to fuction. I have MAX 4.2 on XP.
