I installed my 3com adsl modem on my XP machine but for some reason I cannot connect to the internet and when I install it always install as a network and not as a modem...I get error 721 everytime...Anyone know of a fix for this? PLZ HELP!

I also have a 3 com adsl modem and XP installed it as a network. I haven't had any problems with it and I connected right to my server.

Is your DSL service in PPPOE mode? What PPPOE client are you using? I have heard that XP has native support for PPPOE and you dont have to use third party client software. I am running ME with the dual link modem and using Enternet300 as my PPPOE client. My copy of XP will be ariving on UPS tomorrow...I know that Enternet300 isnt compatible with XP, but I sould be able to use xp's built in client. I just need to know what drivers to use for this modem and where to get them. Do I just use the drivers on the install cd?
