Ok, I've got a 2nd HD plugged in. Master and slave jumper settings are correct. It's DETECTED on BIOS as the Slave, but XP doesn't detect it at all. However, if I put it on secondary it will display it. I tried the HD/CD-ROM and HD/CD-ROM setting, but the CD-ROM on the Primary disappeared. Any ideas? I switched the IDE cable, so it's not that.

Is it a 40 or 80 wire HD ?

The cable has a blue connector for 80 .
