2nd hard drive disappeared

I've updated to XP pro, have done numerous recoverys, driver conflicts I believe. I now have LOST my 60Gig hard drive LOL I'm "somewhat" familiar w/ computers but I guess I'm lacking hehe Could someone please tell me how I can make windows recognize there is another hard drive? Or how I can locate Thanks in advance!

go to disk management, mount the volume there and make it active
