I would like to be able to get my email on my girlfriend's PC (using OE). She has an MSN account. Do I set up another identity and then put in my password, smtp, etc in tools>accounts? Does this automatically use her DSL connection? I am confused as to how to do this.

Well this all depends ... you would add a new ID if you both wanted seperate accounts (so the mail goes into seperate inbox's) if you want both accounts to go to the same inbox Just go to
tools/accounts/click add then choose mail and follow the steps

If you have an account with the same mail co. she has, then yes, just access the mailserver, punch in your password and BOOM you HAVE mail.
If not then get ANY web based email like
Lycos, Hotmail Yahoo or EUDORA is best I think and access it that way.
Hotmail sells your email to other companies as compensation for your FREE email services so expect A LOT of spam from them.

Hi Pat,
===========================================
Well, you can do what Bone said, that way each time your Girlfriend checks her mail, your mail will be downloaded to the Inbox. If this is what you want then go for that.
If you just want to check your mail when you are at your Girlfriend's place, then I would suggest "mail2web", find it in Google. Or search for other Mail retrieval Apps, there are many. You might want to install ePrompter that will annonce all mails that have arrived at the server. You can read them on the server and download them later or just delete them on the server without downloading. This way no Viruses can enter by email.

Cheers the Peter

You can creat Identities if you only have one user account on her computer, if shes a nice girlfriend then she might have a user account created for you!, If thats the case just log to your user account open OE and put your PoP and SMTP server addys and the rest of your info. When you have a computer account set for each user, each user has its own OE settings in their stored in their own profile. G'luck

Yup
What d3javu1978 said.
Make an 'Identity' and configure it for yourself and password it too!
Your mail is none of your girlfriends business and having your own identity will strenghten the relationship. :o)

GOOD LUCK!

Hi there

A second email account on OE is quite in order.

FOR this email account: go to

In the email account settings under Email Server Name, you may have a POP3 mail account: however the incoming mail server should be that of YOUR email account and the outgoing mail server should be that of GIRLFRIENDS email.

This will use her DSL account for access to the internet and then when you choose to send / receive mail it will log onto your POP3 email provider and deliver the mail.
