My computer has a 2.2 gigahrtz chip and it displays that it is running at 1.7 both in win XP and in BIOS. It also feels like its running at 1.7. Any help?

you need to set the bus clock in the bios, or mebbe that motherboard won't support 2.2 speed.
i have one the same way. if i set the bios to run at 133/133 it locks up.
but the screen shows max speed.
check your manual for the proper settings
