1. On some of my computers I see a thin beige strip going across my screen just above the start menu and my tray of folders. This contains the restricted logo and displays the contents of a url when I put my curson on a web link. How do I add this to my notebook computer?

2. My wife's computer opens each IE page to about 85% of screen coverage. How do I change this have the pages open fully?

Thanks.

ealvin,
1. Open Internet Explorer, click View, click Status Bar so that it's checkmarked.

2.Follow the instructions below exactly and your problem should be solved.
Right click the shortcut icon for IE next to the Start button, choose Properties, change it from 'normal' to 'maximized'. Now open it.
Now right click any link on the page, choose Open In New Window....don't maximize it....instead, use the mouse to resize it to what you want it to be.
Now close the FIRST window you opened, and then close the new one you just resized.

Reopen IE from the shortcut icon again, and all windows from now on will be the size you chose and created.
