Having the ions take too long to appear doesn't sound like spyware to me. Sounds like there's a process at startup that is causing the delay. Try starting in safe mode to see if that helps. If so, use "Selective Startup" to isolate the problem.

Go to Start>Run. Type "msconfig" and enter. Then on the startup tab, unckeck all the options and restart. If the icons come up OK then go back in and recheck some of the items and test again. Keep doing this until you find the process that is causing the delay. Note: not all Startup processes will be in here, such as drivers - but its a good place to start.

You should only have one antivirus running. If you have multiple programs running they have a tendence to interfer with on another. So pick one.

Have you done a search for you pictures?
Are you the only user of the computer?

Tiyogi,
I'm the only user of the computer.
How would I do a search for the pictures?
