Comment: 1-Appears like I have spyware/adware,yet I have at least 6 anti spyware prgms (ad aware,spy sweeper,nav,MS antispyware,spyware dr,registry mchnc). Still takes 2 minutes before icons appear on startup.What's going on? 2-In my picture folder some of my folders are empty,images have dissappeared.Did not delete or alter the picture folder at all.Help

Reply: (edit)Having the ions take too long to appear doesn't sound like spyware to me. Sounds like there's a process at startup that is causing the delay. Try starting in safe mode to see if that helps. If so, use "Selective Startup" to isolate the problem. Go to Start>Run. Type "msconfig" and enter. Then on the startup tab, unckeck all the options and restart. If the icons come up OK then go back in and recheck some of the items and test again. Keep doing this until you find the process that is causing the delay. Note: not all Startup processes will be in here, such as drivers - but its a good place to start.

Reply: (edit)You should only have one antivirus running. If you have multiple programs running they have a tendence to interfer with on another. So pick one. Have you done a search for you pictures?
