2 os problems...

i had install 2 win xp...one is in c:\...another 1 is chinese win xp in d:\(partition)...but after i delete the partition, why the windows still ask me to choose which windows i wan to use during the starting of windows???i already delete d:\..

It's in the (hidden-system-readonly)file boot.ini in the root of the C:\ disk. Make the file visible and disable read-only. Open it with notepad and remove the line pointing to the old OS. Or set the timeout to 0 if you're not sure which line to remove.

Lennie, the boot sector of your drive is in the very front. Therefore, deleting the D:\ partition is not going to take care of your problem. There are several ways to fix this. I will start out with an easy one. First, while in windows, go to control panel\System\Advanced\ then settings under start up and recovery, then under system startup check to see which operating system is default to boot first. you can then just specify. If that does not work. You also have the ability to edit the boot.ini and take the second boot partition out of the picture all together. That should work, but there are other ways
