2 network cards to create a passthrough

Specs: Windows XP
I'm trying to setup a xampp server for my home as a file share server and also as a test server for my website. I want to install a firewall server between the xampp server and the router so that someone can't just logon and start going through the network while the file server is on. The name of the software that I trying to put inbetween the router and xampp server is iSentry by Firewall Servers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just need to block the xampp from recieving data from the internet unless I initate it.

If you put one of the current routers between your xampp server and the internet, the routers firewall will block all incoming traffic to your server by default.
To make services of your xampp server public to the internet, you have to set up a forwarding rule in the routers firewall, to allow access from the internet to your server.
