im running 2 hard drives on my desktop. one with vista SP1 and the other with xp. both OS boot fine. My problem is, that when i load xp and try to connect to the internet, it says page cannot be displayed. Also, when i try to play a game (fallout 3) i get an error message that states "no sound device detected, fallout 3 cannot run". what would be causing this? both drives are western digital.

Did you install the audio and network drivers for XP?

i guess not. i am having a hard time locating the drivers for my motherboard. ASUS makes the board and the model is NODUSM3. im on there website but still havin difficulties. im new to doing stuff like this but im learning as i go. thanks for your help

You could download Belarc Advisor or SIW. Those programs will identify the components of your machine, which should help you locate the drivers.

The board is from an HP/Compaq.
The audio is "Built-in High Definition 8 channel audio, ALC888 CODEC"
The LAN is "10/100 Marvell 88EC031"
Using that info, all you have to do is locate XP compatible drivers, IF there are any.
