Good Morning Mesich:
No telling of what that person has.
Appears to me that that article would apply to any problem a person has, and a person should consider answering as many of the questions as possible to eliminate others having to ask them.

Good Morning Chuck 2,

Yeah, I agree completely. I found it rather amusing, and yet odd, that they placed the list of "products that this article applies to".

Best Regards,
Mesich

Sorry and thanks for your reply. I am having this problem in my HP Compaq computer at the very beginning.
1801-Microdode update error.
In fact, I have changed a new processor but I am sure that it is the exact processor specification that I bought for.

Hello.

Your problem might be related to the stepping code of the CPU. You may have to update your M/B BIOS as well to adjust the stepping of the new CPU.

For example: your previous CPU stepping code is C0 and your new CPU stepping code is E0. Your BIOS may support C0 stepping code but not E0 stepping code. Therefore, you need to update BIOS.

Another example: My Gigabyte M/B has a new micro code update. But I do not need it now because my current CPU microcode is O.K. But future CPU changes may need that update.

Hope the above helps.

Regards

suatcini

Hi rehabot,

Appears that is the part number for one of the bezel's on the case.

I'm asking for something like Presario, Pavillion, Desk Pro, Evo, Vectra, ect...

Best Regards,
Mesich
