1.5tb Hard Disk - but only 800gb Visible

Specs: Windows XP Pro, Quad Core/3Gb
Hi There Folks

I've done a fresh install of Windows XP Pro

I have a 1.5tb hard disk which has been partitioned. The c: is 803gb (master) and d: is 790gb.

I installed some disk partioning software, and weirdly, it lists the available drives as follows:-

* Unallocated 104.01 gb
c: NTFS 811.57
*: Other 259.39 gb
d: NTFS 790.24gb

The c: and d: are drives i can access, obviously. But the d: seems fishy as the sum of the disk sizes of c: and d: are greater than 1.5gb.

If i try and resize the c: to 500gb, i get a message saying "Not enough free space around the current partition for move/resize", even though i've only used 8.03gb of disk space on the c: .

I would be grateful if somebody coudl tell me what's going on here.

Hope you can help!

Do a search for EASEUS Partition Master

EASEUS Partition Master 7.01 Professional Edition is what I'm using, and what i posted in my previous post are from that programme. EASEUS doesn't seem to correct things - what i want is a 500gb c: and a 1tb slave.
