I am having a 100 percent Cpu usage problem and there are many svchost.exe running in Processes as shown by taskmanager and also there has been lot of ram usage without any reason! I scanned my pc with nod32av , spyware doc and malware bytes antimalware and they removed some of the trojans and viruses but problem is still the same which is causing my pc to run very slow! Thanks in advance for your help :)

Go to the processes tab and see what process (es) is using all of the CPU and RAM.

turn off system restore, reboot then run all your anti junk programs again. Reboot then see how things are. Keep in mine if you do this you will lose all your restore points. Then turn system restore back on.

well there are seven svchost.exe running in processes which are consuming about 40 mb of memory and ekrn.exe and vsmon.exe are each consuming 33mb of memory.. do you think it's normal?

I think it's normal, but what about CPU usage?? When the CPU is running at 100%, what process is causing that? It shows the CPU usage for individual processes.

I don;t think 7 SVCHOST processes are normal...

There was a time a bit over a year or so ago when M$0ft put out Windows UPdate v 3 and there was a patch that didn't work...For some time we had a bunch of svchost services running from time to time on most of our comptuers...about 1000 of them...finally traced it down to Windows Update 3.1...got that on, and problem went away...

1. Make sure you have all M$oft updates installed, all service packs...
2. Google for svchost errors...you should find the M$oft article and another patch that should correct the problem...
3. In Task Manager, highlight each SVCHOST that is running and click "End the Process"...
4. SVCHOST is a kind of "generic" process that allows other processes to run...normally, shutting off any or all SVCHOST process will do no harm to the comptuer...

Ok...let me refine my answer a little...

There can be 10-12 svchost services running...but not very long...and usually only during final stages of bootup...

After everything settles down, there may be 1,2 maybe 3 svchost services running, those may turn on/off...

But I understood you to mean you had 7 svchost services running all the time...

That, I would say is abnormal...
