All of the sudden my IE has started freezing when trying to view certain image links. Some work and some dont. IE cpu usage spikes to 100% and doesnt open the link, but is still navigatable. Oddly enough, when I try to restart the computer, windows shows that it is shutting down a window that cant be seen in the taskbar or through alt/tabbing. As if the link partially did open but is just looping? I have run a full virus scan and I do have all the latest XP updates as well as SP1 for IE6. I have tryed searching forums and havent seen anything that sounds like the same problem. Anyone have a guess? IE configuration is the same on this computer as three others I have which all are fine.
