Hi there, i have had the problem booting up xp on my imac, but this is to help ppl who have the same problem on imac or pc,

Im not a computer wizard and i couldnt find anything relevant as im on a mac,

but i did find this which worked for me when i had the blue screen error 0x000000ed

previous to this problem xp had been working fine on my mac and juts suddenly decided to stop working

put in your xp disk, and boot from CD, and press R to do a recovery,

when it comes to the scarey looking black screen with the C:/> or somehting like that, type help and press enter, this will give you a list of comands,

first try typing "fixboot" this worked when i had a similar problem a week or 2 before, then type exit to restart your computer

if that doesnt work,

the do the same process and type "chkdsk c: /p/r this did some kind of check and it finished, then you type exit and press enter again to restart,

After this my windows finaly decided to load,

like litteraly juts now so i thought id come on and post incase there are some reli frusrtated ppl out there, coz this fix was so hard to find, altho it was on this website among some jargan so i thought id do a new thread hopefully making it easier and simpler to find,

If this is a tad confusing do email me at jjfreer@hotmail.com coz i wont be checking this site again for reposts,

and ill try n help with my silly untech knowledge,

hope this helps some none techs like me.

al the best
