Comment:

Earlier I had just rebooted, and upon bootup I received a 0x0000007E STOP error. No specific driver was listed.

I've looked at: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321637
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;820362
and the like.

Tried booting from CD and running chkdsk /r
Went into BIOS and disabled everything requested, and unnecessary integrated peripherals.
Checked my memory with memtest.
Did a repair install from Windows XP Pro CD.

I get the error when trying to boot into Safe Mode.

Can anyone please help me :(

Do you have SP1 or SP2 installed & all the Critical Updates ?

You may be able to get more info from the Event viewer .
HOW TO: View and Manage Event Logs in Event Viewer in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;308427

================================

Windows XP Events and Errors
Enter the message source and ID in the text field, then click G
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/support/ee.asp

==============================

If you want to stop a blue screen auto reboot so you can read the error message from the screen:

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System
Go to Advanced
Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings...
Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart"

SP2 and all of the Critical and optional updates up until the start of this problem(Sunday).

It isn't automatically rebooting, just turning blue on bootup and sitting there.

I can't even get into Windows, Safemode or otherwise, to see the event viewer.

Try going back to a good Restore point

Start the computer and then press the F8 key when Windows begins to start.
The Windows Advanced Options menu appears.
Use the ARROW keys to select Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked), and then press ENTER.
If a boot menu appears, use the ARROW keys to select Microsoft Windows XP and then press ENTER. Windows XP restores the computer to the most recent restore point.

After disabling some possible culprits and removing some hardware I'm now only receiving 0x00000024.

I'm just about to give up, format, and reinstall.

I think you are getting close , may not need to format .

Already tried chkdsk /r and replacing ntfs.sys and some others

No luck.

Right now I'm just trying to find a way to get my files off of there, and then will be formatting.

Set the drive as slave , & hook it up to another HD ( no need to bolt it in , just let it hang from the cable , outside the case )
