I have a 2.0 GB USB stick. If I transfer some files accross it works fine. After I transfer whole directories (around 750 MB) all files seem to be copied across. After the next restart a lot of 00000000.000 fles are created and some folders become invisible. I cannot access or delete any of the files and the only way to free the USB stick from all the "rubbish" is to format it. Has anyone an idea what is happening or is it just a faulty USB stick and I should return it?

Try the stick with another machine, if it happens there you must have a bad stick.
