Windows XP has this feature that automatically restarts when there is a "failure". Go into control panel, D-click system, click on advanced, on the startup & recovery box, click settings. Uncheck automatically restart under System Failure and click ok. You might have to restart the pc. By doing that, It will tell you exactly what is causing the problem the next time. You probably already know what's causing it if it's only one program. Post back with the results. Good Luck!!!!!

I have had problems with my computer just restarting itself for no reason. I don't know why. Sometimes it does it when I have 3 documents open and am playing a cd in the drive, or sometimes it does it just after it rebooted back up, or sometimes it does it when I am doing nothing but plying a cd, or sometimes it does it when I am printing and still have more print jobs in the memory. I am very frustrated. Can you help me? Why does it just restart whenever?
