Specs: Windows XP
I asembled a new computer yesterday, Intel I3 procesor, 4GB ram, 1 terabyte harddisk (seagate), Intel motherboard and when I try to install Server 2003 or xp sp3. I got the following blue screen error message but when I install windows vista it just run perfectly without any error.

Please help me, why am I getting this error, Is it because of my mother board ?
I had format the hard disk and even make a 50 GB partition and tries to install the same two again (XP and server 2003) but got the same error .If that helps.

I have no experience with Server 2003 but I don't believe it supports SATA controllers natively. Same with WinXP.

Try setting the BIOS to an IDE compatibility mode.

If you wish to use AHCI settings you can slipstream the SATA controllers into the WinXP files and burn a new CDR. I am not sure if you can do that with Server 2003 or not.
