Hi,
When I run Disk CleanUp I noticed two things different in there this last time. One was DeBug Dump Files is at 261,688kb and the other one is SetUp Log Files is at 1,721..my question is can I have Disk CleanUp delete/remove these files?Thanking you in advance,
Nanette

I have that same question to but i dont know wha it was so i just left it are they safe to delte i know disc clean up says before these files are safe to delte and can safely be removed from you system but what do i delte appart from
recycle bin
downlaoded programes
temporty files
what about?windows setup log files
compressed old files
and the others

It is safe to delete them all. They are files that are no longer used. Setup log is used to find a problem during install. Dump files have been dumped, and temp files are used until programs are installed or permanent files are written. They are not by default deleted, but are now totally useless.

Hi Seat6
Thank you for the information. I am always afraid to delete something unless I know its safe to do.Nanette

I have a question about disk clean up! I have the following to clean up:
Downlaoded Programe files
Temporary files
Compressed old files
Temporary inter net file
Catalog for the content indexorI have the setup files log missing!
I wasnt sure what it ws the first time so i didn't select it but its not there now?
How do i get it back?
Vicki

Vicki. There is no reason to get them back. If they are not present, all the better. Just something you don't have to delete. ;)
